The Full Story
History
In 1968, the Brentwood Principals and Supervisors Organization as a resulf of the New York State Taylor Law which gave school employees the right to negotiate. For a short period of time administrators of Brentwood UFSD were a branch of the Brentwood Teachers Association, but eventually separated into its own unit.

Our First President
Lou Lotito was the first president of the unit which had fourteen-member elementary school group and a small 6 - 7 secondary group. Under Lou, the new organization began to foster social connections among memebers and took steps to create a better working relationship with then superintendent, Gene Hoyt.
Looking Ahead
BPSO negotiated the first few contracts established in the late 60's set a number of precedents as the present day contract still reflects the some Articles.
